Mark Allen Whipple
Born June 36, 1958 in Minneapolis. He attended St. Louis Park High School and graduated in 1976. He then attended the University of Minnesota. Mark joined MHOA in 1977, worked over 100 games for a few seasons, was a board member, and finished with the association 20 years later. He was selected to the MSHSL Hockey Tournament 8 times. Mark worked several Section Playoff games and numerous Section Finals. He was also a NCAA official and worked in the MIAC for 13 seasons. Early in Mark’s career he was able to work with other MHOA Hall of Famers; Gordy Lee and Jimmy Larson, along with other long-time MHOA officials; John Weiland and Larry Dow. Mark was able to work almost 1000 games with MHOA and 100+ NCAA games in the MIAC.
